Not for us
By Stefanie W.
We were given these before our baby was born, since we planned on using gDiapers (have since switched to FuzziBunz). We still used the gCloth liners with the FuzziBunz once we started solids. I am not sure what that review was talking about that said these are not rough... [You blew your nose with these?!? Ow...]. I believe the opposite is true; these have some seriously rough texture. I didn't even want to use them with our baby, but like I said, we had 2 boxes that were already given to us so I decided to use them up. Here's what I think about them:
Pros:
1. Contains the mess
2. Flushable
Cons:
1. Super rough. Rougher than a dryer sheet.
2. Disintegrates on your baby's bottom. I know this is because it's flushable, but I don't believe it has to disintegrate the way it does. Teeny little pieces would stick to her bottom and I had to practically scrub with the wipe to get it all off.
3. The combination of roughness along with the aforementioned scrubbing lead my baby to get a diaper rash (she had never had one before). Her poor little booty was so red. :(
Upon doing research to find a softer brand, I found this little gem of advice: don't waste your money on diaper liners. Buy Viva brand paper towels. They're soft. They're sturdy. They're wide enough to cover your diaper (just tuck them in if/since they stick out past the diaper). We use two to make it more durable. We tear off two of them, leaving them connected in the middle. Then we fold them along the crease and put them on the diaper. When she goes #2, we basically have to peel it off the diaper (something I like; means it's not sliding around in there), which is not a problem since there is usually at least 1 dry spot. I peel it off and plop the poo in the toilet, and then use the dry spot to tear the paper towel into tinier pieces so it flushes easier. Works like a charm! Soft, durable, flushable, cheap, and READILY AVAILABLE! :) Hope this helps!

rough material, not as wide as bumkins liners
By KitKat
I much prefer the bumkins liners to these. The material of gCloth liners is a lot rougher, and the liners aren't as wide so they don't cover as much of the diaper. I found the bumkins liners to be much better at containing the mess, and won't buy these again. With bumkins I could reuse the shell (I use flip diapers shells and inserts) because bumkins would protect the edges of the shell, but the gCloth liners are narrower so the shell always gets dirty and I can never re-use it.

Wait til they are bigger
By gMom
Once your kiddos are eating real food and pooping real poop, these are amazing! I tried using them when she was teeny, but they are not useful for breastfed induced poops- waay to liquid. Now, though, once she has pooped, we simply lift out the liner, flush the poo and only have to rinse out urine from the cloth insert m. Amazing! And cheap! This lasts for so long! We only use these when we know she is likely to poo.
