Change is not always good
By LittleJK
As other reviewers have expressed, the change in these wipes is not for the better. gDiapers has gone the way of Nature Babycare and Seventh Generation in adding unwanted ingredients to their products. The gDiaper wipes now have an unpleasant odor instead of a neutral smell. I tried one myself and found it irritating. The wipes seem thinner and do not hold moisture as well. I did not return my shipment, but will definitely not order these again.

Very disappointed with the new formula
By Aleeza Lawson
I love gDiapers and was stoked when I discovered their wipes, but like other reviewers have mentioned the new formula leaves a lot to be desired. The old ones were thick and moist, and you really did only need a few to clean up big messes. In addition to what other reviewers have said, the new ones are flimsy, they get all bunched up as you wipe and often 3-4 will come out of the pack when when you pull it out (very annoying, especially when you have 1 hand to keep baby still and 1 to try and separate them). I too contacted gdiapers and got a pretty stock response that these were softer than the previous... Don't know why they would go backwards and create an inferior product, I'd rather pay more (these are slightly cheaper than the previous) for the original.

Disappointed that they changed the formula
By Ron T. Mccargar
We aren't happy with the changes to these wipes. Originally we purchased this brand over others because they did not contain Sodium Benzonate (which can be associated with contributing to or at least not helping asthma symptoms which our son had.) But now they changed the wipes to include this preservative.
Still gWipes are clearly less toxic than the mainstream alternatives out there, and admittedly some sort of preservative is probably required to avoid wipes getting bad/moldy/etc.
They made several errors with these changes however:
1) Sodium benzonate.
2) Smell is a little worse but not terrible.
3) They seem noticeably less moist and may require an extra wipe to do the job.
Initially our fears were they would probably be more irritating to baby (because of the smell and texture) but after a few days we
haven't had any noticeable rashes/problems. #3 is probably the worst issue of the 3, because we are paying more for a less usable product.
